Thank you!

I'm currently having trouble working through an issue with management. My daughter changed from a 4x2 to a 4x4 in August. Even though we'd been paying electronically for the previous year, to pay the first month's rent for the 2nd year, she had to provide a money order. She had to go purchase 2 money orders - one for $500 and one for $79 since the place she purchased them at only allowed up to $500 per money order. She took both to the complex and they apparently lost the $79 one. It's recorded on her portal as a payment in August but last week the portal indicated that I owed $79 (but didn't state what it was). I paid it because I thought it was for utilities (they are also having trouble getting their new utilities billing set up and we are having to pay for two months at once). I just found out that $79 WASN'T utilities and am wondering why it took 2 months to notify me that "they didn't have that payment". I got a separate bill for $95.50 this week for the last two months of utilities and promptly paid that.

I NEVER EVER write reviews, this one is my first so that must really mean something. Do not live here!!!!! I made the mistake of not checking the reviews before I signed my lease and man how I regret that. I rather be commuting than staying here. I pay around $760 a month to be living in a place that's full of roaches. It's just ridiculous how they don't do anything about the situation. My roommate was taking a nap when she was woken by a roach that got on her, THAT'S NOT OKAY! Whenever we go to the office to ask for help all they give us is this pan flit telling us on what we can do to keep them away but that's all they do. Till this day, I still have roaches in my apartment. And management, please don't comment back saying "we are here to hear your concerns and help you" because you aren't, you're just trying to create a nice picture for those looking at the reviews because we've been complaining about this since September and you haven't done anything. I don't like making negative reviews nor putting complaints because I know how it feels to deal with clients but this has just gotten out of hands.

I've lived at UC for 4 and a half years. I've seen this place go through a lot of changes. I had excellent service from Curtis on maintenance for many years. I told management Taylor is a great employee. It's a quiet place to live with very little disturbances.

Worst place to live in Denton. Tx. I'm not going to brag about outdated appliances and ignorant managing staff. But how we are screwed every month on rent. My roommates and I are charged for Water, Electric, Sewer, and trash. The fun part is sometimes these additional charges are not up when the rent is due and they push it over to the following month along with a fine. When asked the management ignores you and blame it on corporate policies. Basically, you will be in huge burden even if you pay your rent on time. I strongly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I been scammed and hope it doesn't happen to you.

I decided to live here after transferring from Collin College to UNT. Personally I have not had any bad experience with the Management. They are constantly trying to make the experience better and even the time our ice maker got messed up, and my living room got flooded overnight , they responded promptly when we called . Although they can still do better, It is a good place to stay considering the fact that it is also a student living residence.

For the last week, I've called numerous times (daily), emailed the manager Kimberly several times and sent messages through their portal to straighten this out but am getting nowhere. When you call the main number, you get a message that the mailbox can't take any messages. I do NOT recommend this complex just for the fact that you can't get management to respond to issues. They have an extra $79 of mine and I can't reach them to find out if they are working on refunding me or if they are flat out ignoring me. I paid the overcharge in good faith and would like them to now refund it...in good faith.

UPDATE: They have acknowledged their error and have posted a refund on the payment portal that will post against next month's rent. Word of advice to future residents...stay on top of issues.

Basil
