So then we were finally seated outside after 35 minutes (and still NO ONE was seated outside), and we ask to sit underneath a shaded tree - keep in mind that all tables were available! Our hostess was adamant in telling us that we could not sit at an open table, because they go by sections?! Then change the damn sections! Why is that such a big deal? NO ONE was out there! We were the only customers outside! Such stupid logic. And this was not the first time they’ve done this to us.
Went to the cafe behind main restaurant. Very nice young lady helped me named Jacqueline. Fixed me up a hazelnut coffee only. Such a great cup of coffee! Had one there and one to go. Very cozy atmosphere. Seemed like I was at home. Will come back and try the restaurant. If it's anything like the small cafe... then it should be great too.
Place is awesome. Sara came out with my brew very quickly. It was incredible and the breakfast was good too.
However, I just don’t understand why customers that choose and want to sit outside where every table is available (4 open tables), have to wait to be seated. If the inside is full, fine, but you have available seating outside! Take care of those that want to sit outside! It just makes sense.
So we waited around and noticed that NO ONE was being seated outside. It appeared that all the customers waiting to eat wanted to sit inside, which would warrant their given wait time.
Delicious little breakfast and lunch spot. I had the mushroom melt and it was fabulous. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
Great food but horrible host customer service! We’ve been going to this place since it first opened and have been recently going every Sunday for brunch for the past two months; however, I’ve had it with their service. The hosts there are inceredibly snobby and ridiculous!
For example, we always sit outside on their patio because we bring our dogs, and this one particular time NO ONE was outside. All tables were open. So I go inside and approach the hostess, ask to be put on their wait list (because you have to), and we have a 30 to 45 min wait.
The hostess was not even willing to accommodate. I will not go back, and I will tell friends and family that while Seven Mile has good food, their hostess service sucks.
Stopped here for breakfast on the way through Denton. Great coffee and customer service. I really enjoyed my breakfast platter (eggs, hash browns, and a pancake) and my husband was thoroughly impressed with the Crab Cakes Benny and the grits. Would definitely recommend.
