Denton has many surprises, and Fred Park Moore was one for me due to a BBQ and music invite. The music pavilion has great seating, there is a BBQ/Smoker and picnic area with tables and benches, a wonderful Play Ground area with a wide variety of activities for all ages. The only issue is the problem of burrs on the grassy areas, making the grass uncomfortable for dogs and people alike.
The Playground area is wonderful. Very well thought out and extremely hardy! I have only docked one star due to the nasty burrs on the grass, unpleasant for people and dogs alike.
This park is fun for bringing your kids and needs more sports areas but its alright at this time
Historically ethnic park, adjacent to the historic East Side cemetery. Very nice, clean and suitable for picnics or play. On occasion people tend to play their car stereos very loudly, sometimes playing songs that are not family oriented. Watch your children, as this park is large enough to get lost in. Has baseball fields, basketball court and playground equipment.
Beautiful grounds. Well kept. Shade available. Playground for the kids. A place to picnic. Public restrooms. A place to cook out....very pleasant.
