I love giving my support (and $) to little local places like Fish n Chirps. They have a good selection of healthy dog food- which can be hard to find other places. They have a frequent buyer card if your dogs eat Muenster kibble (local, from Muenster, TX), and they always offer to carry it to my car. We've also spent lots of time looking at their fish, birds, and little furry mammals. I would highly recommend this place!
My aquarium hobby began in Denton at fish n chirps. The shop is ran by two brothers that know their stuff and may come off a little edgy but are extremely helpful.. Stop by and you won't be disappointed
My roommate and I love fish (we have 3 aquariums and breed fish) and we also love Fish N Chirps. They have a great selection of pet food and accessories, and the owners/staff are very knowledgeable. Plus, they have a really nice selection of fish that are healthier and in far superior condition to anything you could get at a chain store. This place is great and we love giving local places our business.

What a bummer! Very poor conditions for their reptiles. Brown and green anoles housed together. Iguanas in 10 gallon tanks. Staff member was confused by the word 'invertebrates,' so I asked if they carry "tarantulas or scorpions," which lead me to find three very poorly housed spiders, one mislabeled. Each enclosure was too small for the spider and had live crickets hopping around dead prey remains. It wouldn't be hard to step up your game, Fish N Chirps!
