Worst experience I've ever had TRYING TO rent a car. I would never recommend going here to rent a car to anyone. After two hours of figuring out what needed ton be done we were informed that we would be being charged for the rental plus 400 dollars hold on any card which would not be refunded for 7-10 days after the car was returned. Biggest waste of time.
These people are THIEVES! I rented a car on 03/14 and returned it on 03/18. I drove through a toll plaza on only 1 day incurring about $9.00 in tolls at the ZipCash rate. Once I returned the car, I noticed a charge for $25.00 on my card. It turns out that they charge a "convenience fee" for each day that you have the car even if you do not drive through any tolls on those days. When I complained about this ridiculous and dishonest policy, the agency operator simply passed me on to the 1-800 number. The Customer Service lady at the call center simply told me that the charges are valid and told me to read "paragraph 22" of the rental agreement. She was unable to provide any reason for why they need to charge a convenience fee as the state does not charge them any additional fees (only the zip cash rate) when I drive through a toll. She continued to refer me to the rental contract and was of no further assistance. If they truly believe that they are justified in charging this outrageous fee, they should post it in the vehicle or at the rental counter so that customers can be made aware of it. I will never rent from these criminals again. In the meantime, I will just wait for the next class action lawsuit against them(there have already been several) In order to get my money back. The only reason for the 2 stars is that the rental and return process at the facility was very quick and easy and he did not try to sell me on a whole bunch of additional insurance like some places do. The agency operator Effrain(not sure of spelling was also very friendly and efficient.)
Twice this month we have rented cars for trips, one up toward Indianapolis and the last one for Houston. Both vehicles were new with mileage under 15,000. Each was very clean and we appreciate the non-smoking element of the cars. Although the rates may be "budget," the quality and performance of the cars (Chevy Mailbu and Ford Fusion) in terms of gas mileage were above our expectations. Check out and check in were virtually seamless and easy. Staff were helpful and courteous. They have our repeat business.
I've rented from this location for several years, never had a problem. Great cars, great service, great prices, nice upgrades. Zero problems.
