This place needs more parking there were people parked in none parking areas and parked on the side of 288 . Absolutely not enough room! As far as my experience I couldn't tell you because this is the 3rd time I have gone to change my address and couldn't even park to get out of my car. And there is alway a line of people 20 to 30 deep standing outside.
ZERO customer service on behalf of the people working at the counters. I had ALL of my documents for getting a TX license from out of state but one of my items of mail was medical- so not valid- I offered to show her my lease document, she said it needed to be in print, so I asked if she would please print it for me (as the only kind worker working here was doing for another patron when I walked in) she said "she's not required to" and told me to go get a new ticket and get back in line after an hour wait with two young children who were now on the edge of tantrums. Currently waiting......again......in a room full of people who have also been waiting forever......Overall HORRIBLE people work here. Thank goodness for Emily. Never again.
Can’t answer the phone. Are y’all hiring? I’d love to do nothing and get paid and have full benefits
It took me three visits to get my name changed on my license. The first time, they weren't even open. The second time, there was a huge line to even check in at the kiosk, and after waiting standing on the sidewalk for 30+ minutes, when I was NEXT IN LINE to check in they told us they were at capacity and they weren't accepting anyone else because it was closing time, and shut the door in our face. Third time was at 11am on a Tuesday and there was STILL a line out the front door to even check in, with a wait time after check-in of AT LEAST an hour. Half the chairs for employees at the counter were empty, too. I would GLADLY pay some extra taxes so they could hire a couple more people because that place is absolutely ridiculous. But at least I had time while I was standing around waiting to wait some more to come up with a well-considered angry review.
As for the missing 5th star, that's because of that god-awful parking lot (or lack thereof) outside. There are maybe 15-20 regular parking spots. Not only that, but if you pull into the lot and realize there are no open spots, you have to back out, there is no way to turn around. It's a nightmare, I had to drive back and forth on 288 for awhile until a spot opened up. This needs to be looked into, as well as a bigger office....for a city the size of Denton, this tiny office is ridiculous.
There's not much they can do to make the lines shorter at this location, they work as fast as they can and stay after hours to get to everyone in line. The employees are what got these 4 stars, they truly were great. The lady that helped me and her manager next to her were a refreshing change from most DMV offices I've been to. They were polite, friendly and very helpful. Thank you ladies!!
It's never fun waiting in line, but SO many people that were waiting, got called and had to leave without getting what they came for because apparently it is too much for them to actually read the directions and figure out exactly what documents are needed for their specific transaction.
