I haven't been here in 15 years but the food as still excellent. The chips queso and salsa are the best. Make sure you order some to take home.
My family and I love this place. There is another restaurant in Corinth with the same menu/owners called Mi Taza. We found it first but I like the location of Mazatlan better.
This place is great for a nice cozy meal. It's a small place, but it's comfortable, and homey. The service during my visit was great. Quick and friendly. What I ordered however was just ok. I ordered the ranchero sauce enchiladas, and unfortunately there was hardly sauce on them. The rice and beans were both very bland. Surprisingly, what saved the meal were the chips and salsa. Simple, yet flavorful and they were refilled immediately.
Great little Tex Mex place. Fantastic service and food was even better. We shared a traditional burrito which was absolutely great. We also got two tamales. They weren't all that great for the price. Queso comes with salsa and chips. If you like spice definitely try the green salsa. Overall great place if you are driving through. Even better if you live in the area. You can't beat the little family run restaurants.
Food was great. Service? Not so much. Our server left for the day without letting us know so we waited forever to get our check. His name was Dylan, I think? We brought it up to the owner when we were paying and she didn't seem to care too much. It's not a huge deal, but it's very annoying and pretty crappy for the server to do that.
