I keep trying to give this location a chance, but every time I do, it only confirms why they are always hiring and why there aren't many cars there when I pass by.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. I went to get food for me and my coworkers. I picked up 2 route 44 peach raspberry sweet teas, a cherry Vanilla Coke with creme, 12 wings, a Chicago dog with no mustard, and a medium cheddar pepper with lots of ranch. The carhop has me hold the tray and get my drinks and food off of it. Well, one of the sweet teas has a hole in the cup and filled my cup holders and my coin holder with sweet tea. I called back in and complained, and they acted like it was just nothing. She asked if I wanted napkins and my response was what do you think? Your sweet tea just ruined my car. They brought me 6 napkins. I worked at a sonic 2 years ago and this is personally the worst customer service I've ever experienced working and going to a sonic. NOT impressed and NOT happy. Oh and on top of that they gave me my Chicago dog with mustard on it when I said no mustard at least 6 times, and when I asked for more ranch they said there's more in the bag. There was 1.
People tend to complain about a place taking a while to serve their food. These people don't even mention how busy this place is! It's right on University, so of course it'll be busy and slow! Even now, at 9pm, they are at half capacity. They do a great job with what they have and it's just like any other Sonic.
This is the absolute worst sonic ever!! Avoid it and go down the road to a different one! I'm sure the customer service is far better than this one with the lazy people working there! If I could rate a 0 I definitely would! Very disappointed with the unprofessionalism.
I thought I'd give them another chance despite the lazy brownie cookie dough blast from last month. I ordered the dark chocolate custard. I got vanilla. I asked the carhop "is this really dark chocolate?" She said, "uh huh." I can tell with my eyeballs and my taste buds that this is not chocolate. The guy who took our order put the order in correctly. I'm never coming back to this location.
Every time I order food here, the person taking the order interrupts me in the middle of placing my order and "completes" my order before I have finished. I usually only order one thing- a breakfast burrito so it takes a pretty rude person to interrupt in the middle of it.
My coworker, Hannah, went to sonic to get lunch for all of us, on one order was a medium cheddar pepper with 3 ranches with a route 44 peach raspberry sweet tea , the next was a Chicago dog with NO mustard and the same drink, and the last order was 12 piece buffalo wings and a cherry Vanilla Coke with cream.... My coworker comes back with news that throws me off, considering we both worked at a sonic in high school (2 years ago)! The car hop set her tray in her car and told her to grab her drinks and meals, which was already unprofessional. Then she tells her "I don't know how much it is so just give me what the receipt says," Hannah tipped her well too! Not even a minute later Hannah's center console was overflowed with sweet tea! THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE CUP!! The carhop had Hannah pick the cup off of the tray, so in my head that tells me she knew it was defective and didn't want to do anything about it! Hannah complained and they just gave her a new drink and 6 NAPKINS!!! Secondly Hannah asked for more ranch for the cheddar peppers, she told her there's ranch in the bag. She gets back to us, there's 1 ranch in the bag FOR A MEDIUM ORDER WHICH HAS 6 CHEDDAR PEPPERS!! Anyone would know 1 ranch is not enough! Thirdly the Chicago dog is covered in mustard!! WHICH SHE SAID NO MUSTARD! They managed to get the wings out not fresh and cold!
I go to Sonic often and have for years. The location is nice because it is near some of the stores that I shop at. However, the service is not good and the food is average at best at this location.
