Dr. Schulman has been my son's doctor since he was born. He is now 9 years old. We both love Dr. Schulman. I especially like him for how he talks to my son. Dr. Schulman isn't quick to prescribe unnecessary medicine for your child. He is a great doctor.
Dr Schulman is very blunt, to the point, not afraid of voicing his opinion, he really knows his stuff, and not really the warm and fuzzy type more of the let's get down to business type. There was one time that I had to call the after hours emergency number for a major concern regarding my baby and I talked directly to him...not an operator...when I called, Dr. Schulman himself answered the phone and had no issues whatsoever about answering my questions and putting me at ease. I have never experienced that ever !!! That alone impressed me and keeps me going back
Very professional, knowledgeable, and seems to really care about my child. Office and exam rooms could use a little bit more color and kid friendly decor and the wait time can be long.
I've been taking both my little ones to Dr Schulman since the birth of my oldest. Being European and having lived in Europe most of my life, then NYC, my main concern is that I can trust the experience, knowledge and competence of my doctor. Dr Schulman has a track history of always being there for my family and never gave me a wrong diagnosis or treatment. Every time I page him outside of office hours he returns my call in a timely manner and directs me in sound advice and wisdom. As a bonus, if you give him the benefit of the doubt and don't judge him for not necessarily conforming to "your little box" of expectations as far as personality goes, you'll find that he is absolutely HILARIOUS! Not touchy-feely, warm and fuzzy perhaps, but always compassionate and respectful. Also his apparent "nonchalance" at times always conveys to me that I can rest and have peace being confident that my little ones will be okay. Whenever I had something that seemed a little more serious and his office was closed he calmly recommended I take them to the ER without being alarmist. Basically I would recommend Dr Schulman to the rational, pragmatic mom who believes in mainstream science and medicine. I don't know where he is from and he might not be your typical Texan, but he would rank among the best in Europe and NY, which is where I came from...
Dr. Schulman is Awesome.. Been going here for 10 years.. His Front Desk Staff can use some Friendliness and Attitude Adjustments!! The Sweetest One is Gina.. It seems to get worse as the years go on with the other ones!!
Dr. Schulman has been a good doctor for my daughter for 7 yrs now, and I highly recommend him. Great with kids and is very wise.
