I would highly recommend Dr. Matheson. I had a bad nerve in the ball of my foot which made it painful to walk. He tried steroid shots first, but with limited sucess. He performed surgery to remove the nerve and I was very happy with the outcome.
We recently took our son for some minor foot surgery. After a horrible experience with a different podiatrist in Denton with another son, we were very pleased with Doctor Matheson and his staff. Doc has a great personality, keeps things light, explains everything in detail, and performed an almost painless procedure. He seemed genuinely concerned with doing what is best for the patient, wasn't in a hurry to do extra stuff, and addressed all of our concerns very professionally. His staff was very kind and the whole experience was great. I highly recommend him.
He is a very personable and nice person, and takes his time with his patients. If my insurance hadn't changed I would still be using him.
I have known Doctor Matheson now for about 10 years. I had some issues a long time ago with some horrible warts on my big toe. After trying everything to avoid surgery, he ended up having to dig them out surgically. Just recently I have been having horrible pain in my right foot, and Doctor Matheson has taken several x-rays, and found out that I have a fractured foot. He is a really cool Doctor, and he has a genuine respect and concern for you and your injury! He has done an excellent job of explaining everything in detail, doesn't jump to conclusions to quickly to avoid surgery, and is trying to get me healed up quickly so that I can return to work and life with my family as usual. The nurses are very kind, and my overall experience has been exceptional! I highly recommend Doctor Matheson to anyone!

This is the best podiatrist in the metroplex! I went to see Dr. Matheson for a problem I had on both feet. After a few X-rays it was obvious that I needed surgery to fix it. He said as long as I wasn't in pain it didn't need to be rushed, and that I could schedule at a time that was convenient for me. He really does work with you and his goal is to do what is best for the patient, not just rush you into a surgery. I did go ahead with the surgery and Dr. Matheson did an excellent job. He managed my pain well and provided exceptional aftercare. His office staff is always warm and friendly. They are some of the nicest ladies I've met in Denton.
